II. Presentation (about 2-3 minutes)
Well, in this part of the test, you are going to talk for about 2 minutes on the topic you are going to choose right now. For each topic, you will read five phrases as your tips. Read these tips and choose at lease two and talk about them for about 2 minutes. Here are the topics. Please choose one.
 
(Show the examinee 8 numbered cards at random order, and all face down so that the information on them will not be seen and then ask the candidate to choose one of them.)

 • Tell me your reason why you prefer travel by train/air?
 
2. Transport
 • Will the traffic become a big problem in Beijing during the 2008 Olympic Games?
 • Aside from bus, what might be a solution for the problem of busy transport in Beijing?
 • Is it dangerous to ride a bike in the busy traffic in the city of Beijing?
 • Will the subway system in Beijing good enough for big crowd of people during the Olympic Games?
 • What may happen when your taxi is held up by the traffic?
 
3. Study
 • What is the biggest difficulty for western people to learn Chinese? What do you suggest to overcome such difficulty?

4. Eating in a restaurant

7. Chinese holidays and festivals
